Loading...Strictly speaking, this photograph was not taken in the Ty Canol Gardens but it could have been! However, having captured the little chap, it seemed only fair that he should be introduced to the world here. We took a walk round the Llyn Llech Owain reservoir just outside Gorslas in Carmarthenshire and I spotted this fellow and the other. Just underscores the value of always having a portable camera in your pocket (my SLR is not yet back from repair)
Set in the Carmarthenshire countryside 4 miles north of the centre of Carmarthen at an altitude of 600 feet. Some exposure to the westerly winds blowing from the Preseli mountains but the tree planting in 1991 manage to create a peaceful and still haven in the lower parts of the garden.
